IBR Staff Writer Published 01 July 2010

Three underwriting companies Arkansas Title Insurance Company (ARTICO), National Land Title Insurance Company (NLTIC), and Stewart Title Insurance Company of Oregon (STICO) have merged their operations with Stewart Title Guaranty (STG), a wholly owned subsidiary of Stewart Information Services.

Mike Skalka, president of STG, said: “With the merger of these three underwriting companies into our flagship underwriter, STG, we are able to increase our operational efficiencies and greatly enhance the services to our customers.

“It strengthens our underwriting abilities and allows us to provide our customers with shared underwriting expertise and consistent business practices needed in today’s volatile market.”

“Additionally, we reaffirm our commitment to homebuyers, sellers, developers and lenders to live up to the outstanding heritage and service that ARTICO, NLTIC and STICO have provided through their leadership and expertise over the past three decades.”

Stewart Title Guaranty is a customer-driven, technology-enabled, real estate information, title insurance and transaction management company. It offers title insurance and related information services required for settlement by the real estate and mortgage industries throughout the US and international markets.
