IBR Staff Writer Published 03 October 2010

Crump Property & Casualty Insurance Services, part of Crump Group, has acquired Target Underwriting Management, a managing general underwriter and program administrator headquartered in Avon, Connecticut.

According to Crump P&C, the acquired assets of Target include Target Insurance Services, Garden State Insurance Services and Florida Liability Assurance Group.

The operations of Target specialize in professional liability coverages including specialty programs for accountants, lawyers, staffing agencies, home inspectors and miscellaneous E&O.

One of Target's core capabilities is its Professional Liability System (PLS) which provides online submission entry and clearing, rating, quoting, and binding as well as policy issuance and invoicing.

Crump P&C president Dave Obenauer said that Target is an important addition to the company's programs platform and represents a significant expansion of its professional lines underwriting capabilities.
